Connect. Grow. Serve. Transform lives through Jesus Christ.
Our church’s mission is to transform lives through Jesus Christ. We do this by leading our congregation of today and our congregation of tomorrow to live a life where we connect, grow and serve. Each of these facets of discipleship has a vertical component (to God) and a horizontal component (to others).
We are called to connect with God and to others. We connect with God in corporate worship through the gathering of God’s people in word and table and in private worship through devotion and prayer. We connect to each other through the fellowship of the community. We are called also to connect with those outside our church, share with them the gospel of Christ, and bring them into the community.
We are called to grow in God’s grace and love with others. In groups we come together and study how God’s word intersects our lives today, and call on those among us to live out the life of faith. We believe that everyone from the oldest to the youngest, the least able to the most able, is called to grow in this lifelong process.
We are called to serve others because we know God has blessed us. This includes, but is not limited to, feeding the hungry, housing the homeless, healing the sick, and restoring those who are broken. We do this in the name of Jesus Christ, because when we serve others we serve Christ himself.
We believe that each of these facets is necessary for spiritual transformation and maturity of the individual and the church. Therefore we encourage everyone who is associated with our church to consistently engage in each of these areas.
