Missions

Serving others is the heart of our church. Whether it be local or global, for youth or adults, short-term or long-term, we have many opportunities for you to serve others in the name of Jesus Christ.

Local Missions

Many local mission opportunities serve Hallsville as well as the greater Longview-Marshall area. One such opportunity is called Hearts & Hammers for Christ, which is our local service intensive in October in which for one week and two weekends we work on people's homes in need of repair and also facilitate community projects. We also support the Hallsville Outreach Center, Newgate Mission in Longview, Longview Interfaith Hospitality Network, Wesley Foundation in Kilgore, and many other great local missions.

Global Missions

God calls us to go into the whole world, and we do this in many ways. We support mission projects such as Gospel for Asia, Nothing But Nets, Four Corners, and Partners in mission. Through our denomination we help with relief efforts through UMCOR and support missionaries through the United Methodist General Board of Global Ministries. We will be looking to provide mission opportunites to our congregation both national and international in the the future.

Youth Missions

Each year our youth participate in UM ARMY (Senior High) and BIG HOUSE (Junior High). These are week long intensives that help work on housing projects for those in need and that also provide evenings of spiritual formation and worship.
