YOUTH
Our Mission
Our mission is threefold. First and foremost, we are dedicated to developing a firm foundation of faith in the hearts and minds of our youth. We believe that nurturing a strong relationship with God is essential for their spiritual growth. Secondly, we instill a mentality of service, encouraging our youth to embrace the call to make a positive impact on the world around them. Through various community service projects and work retreats, they learn the importance of compassion, empathy, and selflessness. Third, our youth ministry is a place to belong—a vibrant and caring community where friendships are forged, and support is readily available. Together, we share in the joys and challenges of life’s journey while deepening our faith and commitment to serving others.
Sunday School
Sundays at 9:30AM we strengthen our foundation of faith with Bible study and discussion. Lessons are either based on working through a book of the Bible and thinking through what it means for us today, or thinking through specific topics and learning what the Bible has to say about them.
Wednesday Night
Every Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM we gather in the youth room for dinner, games, and a Bible-focused lesson that addresses how the gospel speaks into the everyday challenges that teens face.
Camps and Retreats
Each summer our youth group participates in U.M. Army, where they go to another town for 7 days to help will work projects like building wheelchair ramps and decks, painting houses, and doing yard work. Later in the summer the youth group goes to Lakeview Camp in Palestine, Tx for a week to chill and relax.
